For every mood, it seems as if theres a texture to match those feeling, its like the physical manifestation if those moods. I find myself getting really excited about the day ahead when I’ve found that perfect combination of layers to provide comfort, effortlessness, and more importantly especially on the East coast, warmth. I recently bought this shawl fur collar cardigan at a thrift store around Bushwick in Brooklyn (sadly the associates working there couldn’t verify if the fur was real or faux because of the softness and the tags were removed). For a long time I’ve wanted a cardigan with an exciting fur collar but never got lucky, but this has definitely been my year. For especially chilly days, I take out these Timberlands. I know, they look like they’ve been through some damage but they still put up a good fight. The best thing about them is the faux fur lining in the inside, they’ve kept my feet extremely cozy, like a blanket on snowy day. The colorful patterns at the bottom are a few undies I hauled at Target. These colors just grabbed my attention more then the touch!

It’s been randomly snowing throughout the city. It’ll be in the 60โ€™s in the morning and in the afternoon, itโ€™ll drop to 30 degrees with chances of snow or rain or a combination of both.
For days like that, I like to bulk up by layering as much as possible. I like to pair my dark brown suede coat over something that’s comfortable like leggings. Then pair it with my double knit long sweater but since I’m small it fits more like a dress. I can live in these shoes and if it were winter all year round, I would re-buy a pair of these every month since they feel amazing!

Easy Contrasting Nail Pop Art

Simple to design & easy to create on your own. With just a little bit of patience, it can make all the difference.

For each nail, the black dot was placed sporadically. Not one follows the exact placement to make them exciting to look at. I wanted to have fun on some of the nails on the right hand so I dragged a very sharp brush through the dot to create a distorted effect for a touch of creativity.

November’s just flying by and now its Thanksgiving week. I can recall a time when I was in middle school and believing how slow time went and now I just gasp at how fast I’m going through my calender’s. I was talking to a friend earlier this week about the major time difference between LA and New York City.

My boyfriend and I spend little over a week in the West Coast, going to LA, Catalina Island, Baja California and Mexico (we were on a cruise ๐Ÿ˜‰ lol) But that was my first experience in the West Coast and OH MAN did it feel like a month instead of a week. It just felt a lot longer than what we were used too and I kind of liked the change.

This trip to Baltimore.. The ride there from New York City was about four hours with afternoon hours. I didn’t mind (since I wasn’t driving, luckily, but my boyfriend had to touch it out for both of us.. his amazing). I’ve had never gone to Baltimore before so it was beautiful getting to see the area with its colonial style neighborhoods. We booked an airbnb and our host was explaining to us that Maryland was still a slave state when it was banned in the North during and even during the civil war. Didn’t remember my US history class going over that! crazy.

We went for a company event and they also hosted a Halloween party for us. I was dressed as a dark angel.. as you can see.

Shoes: Nine West; Dress & long cardigan: Forever 21; Hair: Wig (although I might cut it short like it); Leather Jacket:ย  (don’t remember)
